About Meribel Ski Resort
Meribel, at 1450m, is situated in the heart of the 3 Valleys so access to all areas couldn’t be easier. Although Meribel as a resort is large in size, the construction is that of a traditional alpine village, with many picturesque freestanding chalets.
Meribel is known as the après-ski resort of the 3 Valleys (for good reason!) with plenty of fantastic nightlife. Favourites are Dicks T-bar, Le Pub & Jack’s Bar. The skiing from Meribel caters for mixed skiing abilities and the range of accommodation suits anyone from individuals up to large groups - it really is an excellent all round resort.
Mottaret is located just above the main town of Meribel Centre (about 6 km away by car). At 1750m, it is an excellent location for the keen skiers wanting great ski access, who don’t mind being a short distance from the hub of Meribel town centre which is within easy reach if the night requires. Meribel Village is just down the valley from Meribel Centre (about 5 mins by car).
The Three Valleys is home to around 200 ski lifts and 600kms of ski runs, providing skiable terrain for all ability of skiers and boarders. Meribel is right in the middle of this massive ski area offering something for everyone both on and off the mountains. For any non-skiers there are many alternative activities. We are confident you’ll have a great stay!
Apres ski in Meribel
Both Merribel and Mottaret have buzzing nightlife with bars and clubs open until the early hours - Jacks bar, the El Poncho, the Doren pub and Dicks T-Bar nighclub. The piste-side Rond Point's happy hour starts at around 4 pm. Scotts is a lively restaurant and Le Plein Soleil is renowned for live music and crazy theme nights.

Families and children
Ski schools and Kindergarten are available in both Meribel and Motteret. Ages 18 months to 5 years. An updated childminder list is available from the tourist office.

Plenty to do for the non-skiiers - Bowling Alley, Casino Swimming pool, Olympic ice skating rink, Hang-gliding, Paragliding tandem flights, Skidoos and Dog Sledding.
Eating Out in Meribel
A wide choice of over 65 restaurants and bars in both Meribel and Mottaret. 3 course set menus for approx 25 Euros. Local specialities include fondues and raclette with wine around 30 Euros. Pizzas around 9 Euros. Try the Chez Kiki, Plein Soleil, Chez Patrick, Grand Coeur, La Taverne, Le Grenier and la Tarentaise.
